Welcome to Travel Joyful!
I’m very happy that you’ve found your way to our blog. My name is Linda, and I am a happy traveler. I definitely have caught the wanderlust, and I’ve made many successful trips, both abroad and within the United States. I’ve learned a LOT from those experiences, and I am very excited to share what I’ve learned with my readers. I’m also excited to hear your tips and tricks too…I love community!
My 2014 trips were to Rome, Munich, Dachau, North Dakota, Florida, New Jersey, and Iceland. I try to take at least two trips yearly. I am currently working on a five year plan to retire early and start to travel more frequently. I’m excited to share that with you all, as well! I am a true believer that if you can dream it, you can do it.
My belief in simplicity is what leads me to travel. I think the experiences I have are more important than any things I could possibly want or possess. I have another blog dedicated to simplicity in living, called LiveSimpleLiveJoyful.com (See the theme here?) Please feel free to wander over and give me a follow there too! That one is a bit more about daily life for me.
A bit about me: I’ve raised three children who have turned into lovely young adults, the oldest of which still lives with me (my 22 year old nephew John) I’ve lived in Colorado for the last 15 years and was born and raised in NJ. I work as a supervisor in a call center here in Colorado Springs, and I also own my own pet sitting business. I am very active in animal rescue and have five rescued “furkids” of my own.
I’m so excited to have the opportunity to create and participate in a community of people who feels the same way I do about travel! Please follow us and feel free to comment – I look forward to meeting everyone!
